A study, by Pew Research Center’s Internet & American Life Project, shows that 63% of adult mobile phone owners use theirs to go online.
According to the research, the figure has doubled since 2008, and it goes to show just how important it is for businesses to make sure they’re reaching out to people with mobile phones. Adapting a website to suit a mobile phone is a must, because if people can’t view your information and content in a comfortable way, they will move on, and most likely to your competitors.
In some ways mobile marketing, has existed for a long time, SMS messages have been cheap ways to keep in contact with customers, and subtlety remind them of their services.
However, with emails now constantly being opened on mobile phones, they too must be suitable for a smaller screen, and a business who fails to make the necessary changes may begin to fall behind.
