EE is launching the UK’s first CAT4 4G enabled device, the Huawei E5776 WiFi, ready for its superfast network, which matches live in June.
Until now, CAT3 handsets just like the Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE were the only real handsets on offer and had peak download speeds of around 100Mbps. In the event you just can’t wait that long, CAT4 devices are in a position to reaching 150Mbps. EE announced last week that it was doubling the quantity of 1800MHz spectrum bandwidth that it was dedicating to 4G that will increase the speed and capacity of its network.
The Huawei E5776 WiFi should be available free on EE’s 4G plans, which start at at £12.99 monthly with 1Gb data. The device can also be available on plenty of business plans.
