Speaking at BlackBerry Live, the company’s CEO Thorsten Heins unveiled the brand new device. “The BlackBerry Q5 can provide the most effective of everything with its cutting-edge BlackBerry 10 functionality and a physical QWERTY keyboard,” he said. “It is for youthful fans which are passionate, confident and impressive, and it makes it easy for them to celebrate, create, share and stay connected.”
The keyboard is a ‘discrete’ upgrade to the unique BlackBerry design, with a three.1” touchscreen to make use of alongside it. It has Instant Action shortcuts for tasks performed regularly and springs in pink and red, in addition to standard BlackBerry colours.
It isn’t really clear what the pricing could be however it is being targeted at developing markets in Europe, the center East, Africa, APAC and Latin America. It’s expected to move on sale in July.
