The location platform for real-time sharing has launched a free SDK so all developers can now quickly offer Glympse functions to their users.
The company has already worked with BMW, Ford and Mercedes, besides lots of startups, to integrate temporary location technology into their apps.
App developers or service providers with fewer than 300,000 active users can integrate the Lite version of the SDK without cost, which manages app functions like GPS, contact integration and viewer permissions, while Glympse also provides a Commercial SDK for firms with higher traffic volumes or those who wish to add custom features.
“There are innumerable industries and businesses that stand to learn from our technology — with this platform, we’ve made adding location sharing to an app or service incredibly easy,” said Bryan Trussel, co-founder and CEO of Glympse.
