Tesco has teamed with creative agency Engine Creative to advertise ChokaBlok’s new range of chocolate bars via AR (Augmented Reality).
Via the Tesco Discover app’s AR functionality, powered by Aurasma, shoppers can scan ChokaBlok packaging to access a behind-the-scenes video, which users are then encouraged to share via Facebook or Twitter.
“Working closely with the Tesco team on delivering innovative AR solutions is superb, because the ability to create rich AR experiences is improving all the time,” said Engine managing director Matt Key. “We’re currently developing interactive games and replicating photorealistic 3D captured objects and attaching them to real world objects – things we just couldn’t do after we first got to work with branded AR experiences 18 months ago.”
