All of the end 20 revenue-producing retailers within the US – and 70 of the tip 100 – currently offer branded apps for his or her customers, based on research by location-based marketing firm Digby, in response to STORES magazine’s Top 100 retailer list.
100 per cent of both shops and online retailers inside the lists now have an app, up from 60 per cent and 56 per cent respectively this time last year.
The lowest scoring sector, perhaps unsurprisingly, is value brands, only 10 per cent of that have an app.
By comparison, 78 per cent of fast food brands, 77 per cent of huge box retailers, and 58 per cent of grocery stores offer apps.
