Barclays Enters the Mobile Offers Space

Barclays is operating with Stormchild Ventures to provide mobile vouchers from brands like Pizza Express, Shell and Tesco to iOS and Android users, to boot via an internet site.

Barclays customers come pre-registered and should already receive email marketing making them conscious about the hot service. Using their spend history, they are going to be pre-segmented for various varieties of offers.

New users can choose preferences for the offers, named such things as ‘adrenaline junky’, ‘tech savvy’ and ‘foody’. Once registered, users select to have push notifications with local and tailored offers brought to their handset.

The app was built by Infovision, a Texas-based global IT services firm.
