Rubicon Project has recruited StrikeAd’s Paul Gubbins as head of mobile to guide its advertising automation process across mobile inventory in EMEA.
Arriving from managing UK sales on the mobile DSP, Gubbins would be liable for advising publishers on their monetisation strategy in areas like RTB and developing the company’s relationships within the mobile ad world.

“Rubicon Project works with publishers that collectively reach over ninety per cent of the net audience which might be seeing a seismic shift of their audience consumption habits,” Paul Gubbins said. “Some publishers are reporting as much as 50 per cent in their audience accessing their content via mobile devices.
“i’m really looking ahead to working with both our publishers and insist partners across Europe to develop the premium private marketplaces of tomorrow. These will deliver increased revenue for mobile publishers and optimise their first party data in a controlled environment, whilst proving the worth of mobile advertising to brand leading to increased advertising budgets.”
Last year, Rubicon Project acquired San Francisco-based MobSmith and launched REVV for Mobile, a mobile ad sales platform which builds on its expertise in online.
