Snoop Dogg Launches Branded App which include Reggae Album

Not quite sure where he is going with that torchSnoop Dogg has entered the mobile world with an app that allows you to ‘Snoopify’ your photos with trademark paraphernalia associated with the hip hop star.

Created by 99centsbrains in collabotation with Snoop’s digital marketers, Cashmere Agency, and Upper Playground, users can upload or take a snap of themselves after which customise it with re-sizeable ‘stickers’ designed by the artist Munk One.

After launching yesterday, the free iOS and Android app, which makes its money by offering extra sticker packs to users starting from $0.99-$2.99, has already made it into the pinnacle 100 Overall grossing iOS apps of the day in eight countries. It’s 55th and 69th highest grossing Overall within the UK and US today, 8th and 9th within the iOS Entertainment categories in each country.

The Snoopify app is a part of a much broader brand awareness campaign for the rap artist, who recently launched a brand new Reggae album and adjusted his name to Snoop Lion after converting to Rastafarianism.

“Now that everybody is heavy on social media sharing photos, i wished to create an app that might allow my fans so as to add fun visuals to their photos and Snoopify themselves,” said Snoop Lion. “I’m bringing that new flavor to social media with this app, ya dig!”
