MobFox has integrated ScientiaMobile’s WURFL InFuze device detection solution into its mobile ad network, to enhance its targeting capabilities and responsiveness to ad requests.

MobFox is leveraging the device detection capabilities in two ways – to serve advertising content that’s the correct dimensions for the users’ device, and to gauge campaign effectiveness by device.

“The mobile advertising market is increasing dramatically as smartphones and tablets have become the preferred method to view online page,” said MobFox CEO Julian Zehetmayr. “In the past, we used ScientiaMobile’s WURFL OnSite API. But with the projected growth, we favored an answer that was more deeply integrated with our web server and delivered even greater performance.
